We understand that group settings can be anxiety-provoking for many people. That is why we aim to create an environment that is supportive, encouraging, and confidential. We also deliver structured sessions to provide a therapy that is consistent and familiar.
The DBT Skills Collective runs for two hours every Thursday. We begin the session with a group discussion about how everyone's week has been, followed by a mindfulness exercise. We will then recap the skill learned during the previous week to assess what's working for you and what's not. You will then have the opportunity to discuss anything that may have come up for you during the week with the group with the option to receive either validation or advice in relation to your situation.
You will receive weekly, personalised check-in phone calls prior to the session as well as some resources to refer to in between sessions.
