What is group therapy all about?
Group therapy is led by a clinician (and often another leader) and delivered to a group of clients. There may approximately 10 clients in the group. Group therapy has strict rules, is confidential and is is facilitated in a structured and respectful way. Engagement is usually expected from group members, just like in individual therapy. Group members may have similar reasons for attending the group. They may choose to share their own experiences which are often validated by other members.
