Terms and Conditions of Service

It is important that you read the following terms and conditions of service.  You will be asked to agree to these terms and conditions when confirming your booking.

Your Personal Information

To be able to deliver psychology sessions to you, Net Psychology needs to collect and record personal information that is relevant to your situation, such as your name, contact information, relevant medical history and other relevant information.

The collection of this information is a necessary part of providing psychological assessment and treatment.
Personal information provided by you during the booking process and in the course of online sessions is treated with the utmost respect and is managed in accordance with Net Psychology’s privacy policy.

If you do not wish for your personal information to be collected and stored in accordance with the privacy policy Net Psychology may not be in a position to provide a psychological service to you. If you are concerned about providing information or the terms of the privacy policy please contact us.

Net Psychology does not provide Return to Work /medico/ legal/ compensation reports or services. 

Online DBT Skills Group

Net Psychology's eight week Online DBT Skills Group (Oct, 2021) program begins 30.10.21.Payment is to be made via PayPal on the Book Online page. A Crisis Plan and other documentation must be completed prior to the first session. Participants must be respectful and supportive of each other. Jen Riches will decide suitability of Group Therapy and has the right to remove a participant from the Group at any time. Participants must be linked in with a GP, psychologist, psychiatrist or other mental health professional during their participant in the Group and provide consent for Jen Riches to contact this professional if needed. 

Fees

The fee is $267 per 50 minute (individual) session. This is the recommended fee by the Australian Psychological Society for private psychologists. For more information about this please see: https://www.psychology.org.au/for-the-public/about-psychology/what-it-costs

 

You can either pay at the time of booking an individual appointment or pay later.  Payment must be made at least three days before your appointment. If payment is not received three days prior to your appointment, your booking will be cancelled and may be offered to another client. Please note this is strictly enforced. 


Clients who have a valid Mental Health Care Plan from their GP or specialist may be eligible for a Medicare Rebate. Please contact Net Psychology if you wish to discuss your eligibility.

Net Psychology now accepts self-managed and plan-managed NDIS clients.

The fee for the Online DBT Skills Group (October 2021 intake) is $795. A payment plan is available. No refunds are given once training has begun.

Cancellation / No-Show Policy

At Net Psychology we know that unforeseen events can happen and that you have to cancel your booking. That’s why you will receive a full refund if you cancel your booking more than 48 hours in advance. Please remember that you will not be entitled to a refund if you cancel less than 48 hours before your booking or do not attend. Please be aware Net Psychology has a strict Cancellation / No-Show Policy that is enforced. If you need to cancel your booking please email info@netpsychology.com.au or call 0434 909 974. 

It is a clients responsibility to ensure they are providing Net Psychology with the correct information when making a booking and in sessions.

Payment 

Payment in full is required three days prior to your appointment. After making a booking you will receive an email with payment options. Net Psychology accepts credit / debit and direct deposit.
If payment is not received three days prior to your appointment your booking will be cancelled and offered to a waiting client. 

Whilst Net Psychology may be able to process your Medicare rebate for you, it is your responsibility to follow up all Medicare related issues. Please note Medicare does not cover cancellation/ non-attendance fees. 

Net Psychology may ask if you would like us to safely store your credit card details for automatic payment of your sessions via our client management platform. Please let us know if this is something you agree to.

Important for clients under 18 years of age

If you are under 18 years of age you will be required to provide the name and contact number of a parent or guardian to provide consent for the service. If there are any safety issues, a parent or guardian may need to be contacted.

Pre-booking Three Appointments 

It is recommended all new clients pre-book three appointments (usually two weeks apart) at the time of booking their first appointment (whether online or over the phone). You are able to cancel a booking (in line with Net Psychology's cancellation policy). Please talk with Jen about how many sessions you may need in total.

First Session

Your first session is an opportunity for you to talk about what brings you to therapy. Jen will ask you some questions to get to know you, your circumstances and other relevant factors. Jen is open to feedback and is person-cantered in her approach. She understands the first session can be an anxious time for some clients. Towards the end of the session, Jen will talk with you about what she thinks is going on and how she can help you in your upcoming sessions. 

 

 It is your responsibility to accurately complete the New Client Information Form, Net Psychology's Confidential Crisis Plan and associated forms prior to your first session. These forms will be emailed to you. If you do not receive them, please contact us. If you have a complex mental health disorder, have recently been in hospital or have other special needs you may be required to also see a psychiatrist/ other specialist whilst seeing Jen.

 

File Closure

Please note that if you don't make any further appointments with Net Psychology after one month of your last appointment your file with Net Psychology will be closed automatically. If you are seeing Jen under a MHCP this means your GP will be notified of the closure and you will need to see him/her in relation to further psychological support. Therapy at Net Psychology usually requires a commitment to regular appointments when booking your first appointment. Therapy requires regular engagement and commitment in order to work. If you are not ready to make therapy a priority at this time that is okay. Now may not be the time for you. However, someone else may be ready now and waiting - that is why Net Psychology will close a file if a client becomes inactive after a month. 

Your file may be closed, and another service suggested, if Jen feels that Net Psychology is not the right service for you or if you have concerns regarding the service and or the terms and conditions.

Newsletter/ This Way Up/ Novo Psych

Net Psychology may email you a monthly newsletter, a free course called This Way Up or a screening assessment from Novo Psych as part of the service. If you do not wish to receive this information, please let us know. 

Your Rights

Net Psychology’s principal psychologist, Jen Riches, is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and is committed to providing the very best service.

Vaccination

Clients and anyone they bring along to an appointment must be fully vaccinated and be able to produce evidence of this if attending a face-to-face appointment. If not, psychology sessions will be via telehealth.
