First Session

Your first session is an opportunity for you to talk about what brings you to therapy. Our clinicians will ask you some questions to get to know you, your circumstances and other relevant factors. Our clinicians understand the first session can be an anxious time for some clients. Towards the end of the session, they will talk with you about what they thinks is going on and how they can help you in your upcoming sessions.

It is your responsibility to accurately complete the New Client Information Form, Net Psychology's Confidential Crisis Plan and associated forms prior to your first session. These forms will be emailed to you. If you do not receive them, please contact us. If you have a complex mental health disorder, have recently been in hospital or have other special needs you may be required to also see a psychiatrist/ other specialist whilst seeing your clinician.

Address:

Please attend GO 2, 29 Daly Street, Darwin City for your face-to-face appointment. Please ring the bell outside and wait for Brooklyn to let you in. Take a seat and wait for your clinician to greet you.

Clients and anyone they bring along to an appointment must be fully vaccinated and be able to produce evidence of this if attending a face-to-face appointment. If not, psychology sessions will be via telehealth.

Please note that Net Psychology may request that your face-to-face appointment be an online/phone one. This is due to the current COVID health crisis.

Online Psychology Sessions

Net Psychology also offers an online psychology service. The clinic uses telehealth via Power Diary. You will receive all the information you need to attend your video session. You may also choose to use another video platform if you choose.

File Closure

Please note that if you don't make any further appointments with Net Psychology after one month of your last appointment your file with Net Psychology will be closed automatically. When a file is closed and then reopened, the current service price is applicable. If you are seeing Jen under a MHCP this means your GP will be notified of the closure and you will need to see him/her in relation to further psychological support. Therapy at Net Psychology usually requires a commitment to regular appointments when booking your first appointment. Therapy requires regular engagement and commitment in order to work. If you are not ready to make therapy a priority at this time that is okay. Now may not be the time for you. However, someone else may be ready now and waiting - that is why Net Psychology will close a file if a client becomes inactive after one month.

Your file may be closed, and another service suggested, if our clinicians feel that Net Psychology is not the right service for you or if you have concerns regarding the service and or the terms and conditions.

Net Psychology may email you a newsletter, a free course called This Way Up or a screening assessment from Novo Psych as part of the service. We may contact you regarding our services. We may also send you email/ text updates. If you do not wish to receive this information, please let us know.
